Miracle Ear wouldn't refund money for hearing aids

My father recently purchased hearing aids from Miracle ear for approximately 6500 dollars. About six months later my father passed away. Miracle Ear won't refund the money to my mother. I know that Miracle Ear could refurbish the hearing aids and sell them to someone else. But why should they bother doing that whey they can make my mom pay. My mom would be glad to pay the cost of having them refurbished. The company just says "unfortunately, there's nothing we can do." That just isn't true. So now not only does my mom have to deal with the loss of my dad, she has to pay these creeps 6500 dollars from which she gets absolutely nothing.
